Sex Trafficking and Power: The Diddy Trial Begins
A seismic shift begins in the entertainment industry as Sean "Diddy" Combs faces federal charges that could send the once-untouchable music mogul to prison for life. No longer shielded by wealth and influence, Diddy now confronts accusations of operating a criminal enterprise spanning two decades—a complex web of sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, and more.
Today marks the start of jury selection in Manhattan federal court, with four victims prepared to testify about their experiences. Among them stands Cassie Ventura, Diddy's former girlfriend, who bravely chooses to use her real name while others testify under pseudonyms. The evidence awaiting presentation goes far beyond the shocking hotel hallway assault video leaked last year—a video that might never have reached public eyes had it not been released outside official channels.
The prosecution alleges Diddy orchestrated "freak offs"—extended sessions where victims were drugged and forced to engage in sexual acts with him and male prostitutes, sometimes for days. These events, meticulously recorded by Combs himself according to authorities, form just part of a disturbing pattern dating back years. From brandishing weapons at photographers to alleged acts of intimidation against people like Kid Cudi, the case presents a troubling portrait of how money and power may have insulated Combs from consequences until now.
What makes this trial truly historic isn't just the charges—it's the potential to expose the machinery that allows powerful figures to operate with impunity in entertainment. As opening statements approach on May 12, we witness more than one man's legal troubles; we're watching a possible dismantling of a system that has silenced victims and enabled misconduct for generations. Will this be the reckoning that finally changes Hollywood forever?

the thoughts, views and opinions shared at the Flow Show no Filter are for educational and entertainment purposes only. I am not a professional, I am just good, good, ah, happy, happy Monday to this historic beginning, the historic episode of covering this historic trial of the century case from Mr Sean Diddy Combs, aka Mohawk Diddy, we finally here, y'all. We got to talk about what's been going on with the jury selection which is going on today, and they want to actually get that wrapped up in a few days and and begin right into the meat of the trial also. Uh, after we go over the particulars of what's going on, what we need to know, I found an old article of a diddy interview. Uh, that kind of will that we need to go over because it'll be a great prelude to the mindset to the different altercations that Diddy got into back in the day. That kind of will show us how we got here.
Speaker 1:I thank everybody who is joining us and has been on this journey since as far as this podcast, october 30th, but it's a lot of people like Nadreema in the chat that knows I've been on this journey for a couple of years now. I've been covering Diddy and this Cassie thing since it broke, and I believe that was the end of 2023. October, november. I've been covering this since then, so this has been a long time coming. Again, I thank everybody who's been on this ride, but we about to get into this. This is history, y'all. This is the trial that is going to change what we call Hollywood for the rest of our lives. Gone will be the days of manipulation and coercion and all of the above Taking advantage of people who are really just chasing their dreams. All of the above taking advantage of people who are really just chasing their dreams. And next thing, they know they got they got spiked drinks and they're being assaulted and silenced. And so we're gonna get into this. I'm excited. I'm sure you guys are excited. This has been a long time coming, uh, uh and without further ado, let's just get into it.
Speaker 1:Shout out to the Breakfast Crew Been with me from the start. You know it's always appreciated, but let's get into what we need to know about this Diddy Trial of the Century that officially starts today. Mark on your calendars May 5th 2025 was the day that accountability for diddy has started. One way or the other, he's either going to be innocent or guilty. We shall see what the jury decides. But before we know what the jury decides, we got to know who the jury is. They got to do the jury selection. So I start off today with CNN. Cnn just dropped an article, 6.30 am, one hour before this show's start time, and, if you don't know, you can join us every day, monday through Friday, at 7.30 am. And now now, during the trial, I will have some special evening and after evening or afternoon episodes. We'll get into that later. Uh, okay, so let's go.
Speaker 1:So the CNN article starts off says jury selection set to begin in Sean Diddy Combs criminal federal trial. Jury selection in the federal trial that will determine the future for sean diddy combs is set to begin today, nearly seven months after the once highly influential pop culture figure was indicted for racketeering, conspiracy, transportation to engage in prostitution and sex trafficking, crimes that the government claims spanned over two decades. Now, of course, combs has denied all allegations and pled not guilty to all charges. Combs, who is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn he's been there since September 2024 and his lawyers will report to a Manhattan federal courthouse for a trial that will not be televised because it is a federal trial, with opening statements actually expected to begin may 12th, which would be monday this monday coming up if conviction on all charge. If convicted on all charges, combs faces up to life in prison. Now prosecutors are alleging thank you for the super sticker, libby bear. I really appreciate it.
Speaker 1:Prosecutors allege that between 2004 and 2024, combs created a criminal enterprise using his business empire, where he engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice. He is accused of coercing at least three women to engage in sex acts with him and, at times, with male prostitutes during these occasions, known as what we've been calling them and what they're called freak offs, where the victims were allegedly drugged and forced to engage in sex for days. Now, authorities allege combs recorded some of these sex acts and controlled his victims by promising financial and career opportunities, as well as through threats of violence and other harm. He is facing five counts in total, with charges relating to four victims, including one racketeering conspiracy, as it pertains to victim number one, victim number two and victim number three. Two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, as it pertains to victim number one and victim number two. Also, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, as it pertains to victim number one and victim number two. Prosecutors have said in court documents that victim four is a former employee of combs who they allege he obtained forced labor from. Now we have different options, different people. We think we don't know if victim number four is Phil. Thank you for the super sticker, yari. Thank you for the super sticker. I appreciate it. It's going to be a lot of work to put in and if anybody else want to want to donate or give a super sticker, I will be more than happy to receive it Now. Now victim number four the former employee who they allege he obtained forced labor from.
Speaker 1:Many believe that could be Phil. Phil was a worker who was in charge of cleaning up all the mess, all the baby oil, all the condoms, all the body fluids, all the just nasty stuff. And not only that. Phil detailed in one of the the one of million Diddy documentaries, diddy, the one of million Diddy documentaries. Phil detailed how he let he was. He made Diddy forced him into having sexual relations with a sex worker and he said he said Diddy made him do it. He said he wanted it. He made him. He told him to prove his loyalty. He wanted phil to prove his loyalty by having sex in front of diddy while he watched him. Now there are many other victims who say the same thing, so we don't know for sure if it's phil. It could be a number of people, but phil is just one example of of a person who was forced.
Speaker 1:Uh, thank you, not dream up for the super sticker. I appreciate it really means a lot, uh, that you guys are showing appreciation for the hard work that I continue to put in and the consistency uh, so for also, uh, I want to add some context to this uh article that one of these victims was actually labeled as being a minor and that came we found that out in the motion when the defense was trying to get extra time and the defense put into motion that I can't remember which victim it was, but it said victim number, whatever which one it was. It said that victim uh being a minor, uh, and in the rest of the statement was redacted, meaning it was blacked out. So we don't know what, what, what, what's really going on with that minor? But we did find out within the last month that one of those victims was d was uh, uh, revealed to be a minor in the superseding indictment. Actually, uh, from the motion that the defense filed. Now that is yet to be confirmed in the actual trial, so we're going to pay attention, but it said it clear as day. I actually put the paperwork, I posted it on my social media accounts where it detailed one of the victims as actually being a minor. So we'll wait to see how that plays out, but until then let's continue.
Speaker 1:The four victims that the government identified in the court filings are expected to testify at trial. So these victims all are going to step on the stand. Well, we know one is Cassie. We know at least one or two are Diddy's girlfriend. Another girlfriend we know, and we know another one is an employee. What we're all waiting to find out is who exactly these people are. We remember one of Diddy's ex-girlfriends who could possibly be one of the victims. She said that Diddy forced her, kicked her in the stomach and caused her to have a miscarriage. Is she one of these victims? She detailed how Diddy would go in rage if she even looked at another guy and, like I said, stomping on the stomach was one of the major claims that this woman had and that lines up with some of the information in the indictment. If you know an indictment. He is caused with kicking, punching, kidnapping, throwing stuff at individuals and all type of stuff. So one of his ex-girlfriends, it could be her. One of his ex-girlfriends it could be her. It's just sad when you have so many allegations and so many different incidents out there that some of these incidents might not even be in this trial and they're just as egregious. And that's the crazy part about this trial that it's so much that even some stuff may be left out. So we don't know. So let me continue.
Speaker 1:Judge Aaron Subramanian and I'm going to be honest y'all I like this judge. I think this judge has been very fair to both sides. So I don't go into this trial like I can't stand this fucking judge. I'm going into this trial thinking we got a fair and honest judge on the job. And what we do know about this judge is he's going to keep this trial in order, and that's good to know, because we know the judge is everything. If you got a horrible judge, the whole trial can go awry. But I got faith in this guy. Now what we always say I got faith in him until I don't. So if I started to see some fishiness, yall know I'm gonna call his ass out. But as of right now, I'm had to be honest. I'm good with this judge. He will be presiding over the trial previously ruled.
Speaker 1:Previously ruled that three of the four alleged victims can testify under fake names. The person referred to as victim one in the indictment has been, uh, revealed to be cassie, as we all know, and cassie said she is testifying under her own name. In other words, cassie is standing 10 toes and she gonna take her pregnant self up there and detail everything that needs to be detailed and she is not afraid to put her name on it. And I believe the cassie uh, the cassie test, uh, test testimony, I think that's gonna be the one that's gonna bring everything down for diddy. That's going to bring everything down for Diddy. That's just my personal opinion.
Speaker 1:I believe this is going to be a moment that Cassie has been waiting for. I believe Cassie has played this, her testifying, over and over in her head and I believe she's going to come ready to expose, but it's not going to be easy. I believe she's going to come ready to expose, but it's not going to be easy. I believe she's going to be pushed to tears. She's already pregnant. We already know that Diddy has hired an all-star dream team of lawyers and they will be cross-examining all witnesses, including Cassie, very aggressively. I'm sure it's going to piss some people off and I'm sure it's going to make for an emotional testimony from Cassie.
Speaker 1:But from what I know about Cassie, I believe she's a very strong woman. She's been through a lot. She's moved on with her life. She's got her new. I don't know, y'all could correct me. Is that her husband? I believe they're married or if not, that's her boyfriend. They've been together for a long time.
Speaker 1:But I believe she is up for the task because this is not an easy task. It's actually a daunting task to be pregnant, to relive some of the worst things you ever went through in your life in front of the world and then to have to detail and explain these things while being grilled and cross-examined by some of the best lawyers money can buy. I want to stress how difficult of a task that is for Cassie because sometimes a lot of us out here we are not good at putting ourselves in other people's shoes and we kind of just look at everything as a movie and don't realize these are real people Just like you and me. And y'all know I'm the flow show no filter. I don't have any. I don't care about talking and saying anything To anybody in they fucking face. But me, as strong as I am, as much as as many fucks as I don't give, to put me on a stand and have to relive my darkest secrets or my darkest moments and to be grilled by a million dollar lawyer for possibly hours, that's tough. I wouldn't want to do it. I would only do it if I had to, but I wouldn't want to do that. It's tough and I really want to stress that because a lot of us out here we just look at this like it's a movie and we look at it as just. You know. You don't understand. Put yourself in those shoes, this is going to be crazy and you don't get no redos. So whatever cassie says on that stand being grilled by maybe a brian steel or a tinny garagos or mark agnophilio, she has to be giving her answers on the spot and you can't take nothing back and they're gonna go hard. Meanwhile she's pregnant. Meanwhile you're talking about the most darkest secrets and embarrassing stuff ever in your life in front of the entire world, because this is one of those trials where the whole world is stopping.
Speaker 1:I just want people to really grasp that and what not just Cassie what all of these victims are going through, and then not to leave out the side of Diddy. It's all. It's no more fun and games. It's no more shiny suits and white parties and champagne glasses. Diddy could never see the outside again. Imagine him sitting there. Diddy could never see the outside again. Imagine him sitting there. I don't care how cocky or confident you are, there is two outcomes you could either see the outside again or you could possibly never see the free world again. Think about that. See the free world again. Think about that. And so today's episode. I want to make sure everybody understands hey, we got, everybody got their popcorn. This is interesting, this is intriguing. This is groundbreaking. But to get the full appreciation of what the hell is going on, I want everybody to really understand that these are real people dealing with real consequences. So let's continue.
Speaker 1:If you remember, cassie filed the lawsuit against combs in 2023, where she alleged he graped her in 2018 and subjected her to years of repeated physical and other abuses over the course of their relationship. Now I want to tell you something. I was one of the out. No, not one of, I was. Well, I'll say a couple other people maybe, but I know for sure I was the first, or if not one of the first, to even cover the cassie uh a lawsuit. See, when I covered it most big platforms are reputable they weren't covering it yet because they thought it was just gossip. And if you, if you could take yourself all the way back to september 2023, diddy was still the darling of the industry. But if you've been following me, you know one thing about me I'll stick my neck out and cover something and stand ten toes on something by my damn self and I'll take all the heat Because I'm always confident In what I'm bringing to the table. So when I brought that Cassie lawsuit and I covered it and people were saying, well, why are you covering that? Ain't nothing going to happen, diddy? She just want money. Blah, blah, blah. I knew it was real.
Speaker 1:Y'all got to remember I come from this nasty industry. I'm not just shooting from the hip. I was there. When I say I was there, I mean I've been amongst Diddy, amongst Floyd Mayweather, 50 Cent, in their homes. My mom cooked food for Keisha Cole and Manny and her manager. I was up and all through this industry and I always listened more than I spoke, so I've always was paying attention to what was going on, what was being said. I've always been a man of the people. Even when I became a signed rap artist, I still was a man of the people and that's as I sit here today. I understand my whole journey now and why I went through what I went through. So when you getting it from me, you're not getting it from these YouTube YouTubers and podcasters that are just speaking on what they're seeing on paper or news articles. You getting it from somebody who met Diddy. You getting it from somebody who lived with Floyd Mayweather for years, ran around with 50 cent for years, till this day, still have these contacts and still speak with different people Jazzy I could go on and on and on. I was there and I was there in the prime of everybody's career and I was the same person that you see now. I was that person then, so I was paying attention to what the hell was going on. That's why I have a unique perspective of what's going on.
Speaker 1:Me and D Woods from Danny D Kane ran around at that time when Danny D Kane was on fire, when they were going through that with Diddy. I was there. D Woods would call me to come down to the hotel after their concert. I'd come there thinking everybody going to be laughing and having a good time. I go to the hotel room, all the girls are crying except D Woods and D Woods. I would never.
Speaker 1:You know, I didn't want to ask too much, I didn't want to know too much, I didn't want to ask questions. But if whatever she told me, she told me and she would just say, uh, basically that Diddy was an asshole. I didn't know no details at the time. I didn't ask any details, shit, I was just floored that. You know, I'm looking at them on TV thinking they got the best life in the world At the time. I told y'all I wanted to be a bad boy artist. So I thought everything that glitter was was gold. So when I would pull up to the hotel and it would be like quiet or and maybe just be to their own rooms and crying and I'm like what the hell? This next thing.
Speaker 1:You know, diddy settled and then all hell broke loose and then everybody started riding the bandwagon. So when people say, to this day a couple people come in my comments and say, why are you still covering the diddy. That's all you cut. No, it's not. I just was one of the first people to break this and y'all told me it wasn't a real case. And then, after y'all told me it wasn't a real case, and y'all found out there's a real case. I was telling y'all that he was going to, they were going to arrest him and they were telling me he's not going to get arrested, he has too much money, he has too much power. Then he got arrested.
Speaker 1:So if you knew, I'm giving you a little background, but if you've been here, you know all this stuff. I'm telling you I will stick my neck out because I know what the fuck I'm talking about. So I don't care who, who don't get it. I'm I'm used to having to wait till everybody catch up to me. So now we're here, where I exactly where the fuck I told everybody we were going to be at when everybody told me I didn't know what I'm talking about, I didn't know this, I didn't know that. Apparently, I knew something and to me it was so common, it was common sense. I didn't understand why it was such a unbelievable thing to think that Diddy was about to get arrested Once everything hit the fan. So just to give you all a little history, because I do understand, I got so many day ones.
Speaker 1:But it's a lot of new people who coming on here and they looking at me and they think I'm just like the rest of these podcasters and YouTubers. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I was there. I'm like those ex-NBA players or those NBA players that have podcasts. That's giving you insight on what goes on in the NBA, because I was actually one of those at a high level. You can Google me. My name was H-Flow that's where flow came from and I just dropped the H and just became flow. But H-Flow ran around with 50 Cent and all the rest of them. So I know a lot, but I also stayed away from a lot of shit because I didn't want to know too much. At that time I was just a kid. I was in my early 20s. I was trying to make it in music. I didn't give a fuck about no freak off or none of that. My focus was music, just like my focus is podcast. Right now. I'm one of those one track mind tunnel vision people. If I'm on a mission, that's all I care about. I don't get involved in all this freak off mess. So check this out.
Speaker 1:In may 2024, combs uh was seen striking and dragging ventura in a 2016 surveillance video first published by CNN. This is when all hell broke loose, y'all. Two days after the video was published, combs apologized for physically assaulting Cassie in a video that we all remember we all call it the crocodile tear video where he said he takes full responsibility for his actions in that video. Now let me give you some context to that. He apologized then, but recently he said he's taking away his account. He's taking away the accountability, his accountability, and saying he wasn't in a right mental place. He was on drug. It was the drugs that did it, not Diddy. Again, I'm going to say he said it's the drugs, did it not Diddy? And that's going to be part of his defense. He is throwing everything against the wall and seeing what's going to stick. He has even hinted around pleading insanity, pleading insanity.
Speaker 1:Now, during a pretrial hearing in April, the footage of 2016 incident was ruled that the judge said that will be shown to the jury. That was a serious blow to the Diddy defense Because, as I told y'all, not only does that video show Diddy hitting, punching, throwing, doing whatever you can name to Cassie. But the backstory is that in the room, in that hotel room which the footage we've never seen, allegedly was a male sex worker who saw everything and that actually there was a freak off going on and Cassie was forced to stay, which is part of the kidnapping. And so the people that don't understand and some people were saying it's not a lot of evidence or this or that they don't understand that there is a lot of evidence that they didn't bring out. Of course they're not. They're going to wait for the trial.
Speaker 1:It wasn't a leak. It wasn't a leak. It wasn't a. They didn't want to leak that video. See the way that video got leaked. Is not the feds the person who had the video, who was allegedly paid $50,000 or so from Diddy to, to, to, to to bury that film. They leaked it. So you got to understand.
Speaker 1:The only reason we even have the Cassie video is because it was leaked outside of the feds. If it was up to the feds think about this y'all If it was up to the feds, we wouldn't even know who Cassie, we wouldn't even know about that footage. Yet that footage wouldn't come out until this trial. We wouldn't know about that Cassie, we wouldn't even know about that footage yet. That footage wouldn't come out until this trial. We wouldn't know about that. Cassie was one of them. We would just assume it because of the lawsuit, but we wouldn't know for sure. Cassie was on the stand. All of that came out because that was leaked.
Speaker 1:And I'm saying that to say get ready for all kinds of evidence that you will never believe to come out, because they kept everything under lock and key and if it was up to the feds we would have never even seen the Cassie video. Imagine that. Imagine we never saw that video and then the trial starts. Then we see that video. That's how the rest of this evidence is about to hit us. It's going to be stuff that you're not going to believe. We may see footage of the uh, actual I'm gonna say the actual freak off, but inside the hotel room, whatever this male sex worker says was going on, we might see that oak, see some crazy stuff that happened in the hotel room. Apparently there are multiple videos, up to eight videos alone. We've only saw one.
Speaker 1:And so when people when you have some of the people that that come in to um, enter the conversation and say they don't have any evidence. Only evidence they have is the cassie video. I just say, I just tell them. I just say to myself bless your heart, because you don't understand how cases work, they're not putting all their evidence out before the trial start. The cassie video got leaked. Other than that we wouldn't have that knew you really would be saying they don't have any evidence. It's like I almost just want to sit those people down and pat them on the back and explain to them. And when you have trials and cases, they hold the evidence until the trial starts to protect the integrity of the trial. I don't understand. I kind of don't even understand how people don't understand that. But I just really want to explain that to people because when you're so far off and saying stuff like that, I just think, like you just need somebody to explain something to you.
Speaker 1:This is not a trial for the public. The, the defense or the prosecution is not about to throw out whatever evidence they have before the trial starts. Any evidence that we've been privy to is either from lawsuits that have happened, from suing diddy or stuff that has been leaked, which is basically the Cassie video. Other than that y'all, we haven't had privy to any of the evidence. Yet this trial is about to knock socks off.
Speaker 1:Now, as I continue, mark Agnefililio, who I've not been impressed with, and tinny garagos are the two lead attorneys representing combs. Brian steel, who represented rapper young thug is also has been added to the combs legal team. This also has been added to the Combs legal team. The US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York indicted Combs in 2024 with an assistant US attorney Meredith Foster, emily A Johnson, christy Slavik, madison Reddick Smizer and Mitzi Steiner. They are all handling the case for the government, according to a news release from US Attorney's Office. Now, what's important to note and TMZ, I think, described this yesterday but this is an all white woman prosecution team. What does that mean? Hell, if I know, just giving you the information, this is an all white woman prosecution team that will be handling the case and doing their best to hold Diddy accountable for whatever he has or maybe has not done. We'll see. Combs is also facing dozens of civil lawsuits, from which he is accused of essay. He has denied the allegations and the civil suits are not part of this criminal trial.
Speaker 1:This is one for the ages. Now we got the particulars, we got all the nuts and bolts and today, unless nothing really happens of consequence, but if something happens or there's updates, I will definitely be popping back in live on my youtube channel, flow. Daddy flow is the youtube channel. I will definitely be popping back in live a little bit later on to discuss, uh, uh, to discuss what's going on. We got some more stuff today, uh, about to get into that article.
Speaker 1:Uh, that explains the mind, uh and and and the mind state of Diddy. Um, I, I believe it was a reason I came across this article because it's from maybe 20 years ago, but it depicts everything that Diddy is going through right now and it would explain, when there's no accountability, how that leads to where we are now. You know, you get to the point. You just think you can commit crimes and pay off judges, pay off attorneys. You know, I mean attorneys on the other side of you pay them off, paying off the system. And when you think you can, just, you know, as a younger man, if you feel like, hey, I can commit any crime I want, as long as I I got the money to pay people off, uh, it just gets worse and worse and worse. And next thing, you know, you and you and the detention center being held, um, and, and 50 million dollars won't even get you released. 50 million dollars won't even get you released.
Speaker 1:But before I get into this, this article is, oh my god, it's like foreshadowing at its high, at the highest level. But before I get into that, let me uh thank the people who make this possible the subscribers. Without the subscribers, uh, this show is impossible because we cover hardcore shit and, and, and big time sponsors don't want you to do that. They don't want you to know about this stuff. So if you take money from them, your show suffers. If you are unbiased news truth telling podcast like I am. So I have to thank, and you guys should also thank, the subscribers, because without them we have no show.
Speaker 1:And, um, and just of note y'all, some of these episodes will be subscriber only during the week. So just be just a heads up, because I'm going to be covering some heavy stuff and some of these I can't put out to the world. So, uh, if you want to be, if you want every coverage of diddy from me, you need to become a subscriber, because some of these morning episodes will be subscriber only. I'm warning you now. Uh, let's thank. Uh, aim uh, amy. Amy gave a three dollar donation. Thank you, amy. I really appreciate you, amy uh, for helping keep the truth alive and keep the lights on on this podcast. Also, jill west, with also a three dollar donation. Thank you so much, jill west. I really appreciate you. Also, sean, with a four dollar donation. I appreciate you.
Speaker 1:And last but certainly not least, we have the subscriber on the day of the day that gave a whopping 23 donation to keep truth alive. I appreciate you and I like the message that virgil said. His name is virgil and I want everybody to listen up. Virgil said thanks for always keeping it real. I owe you for the past six months. I'll need to update my subscription next month and you're absolutely right that if people don't think you're worth 15 cents an episode, that is diabolical, I'm out. Thank you, virgil.
Speaker 1:Virgil, the subscriber of the day and what virgil was talking about. I said I give, I give, uh 20 episodes a month. The minimum subscription is three dollars, which comes out to 15 cents an episode, and I just said I'm risking my, I'm sticking my neck out for the people, I love the people, and it's diabolical, uh, if you don't think I'm worth 15 cents an episode. But those to those who do, I greatly appreciate you and my ditty coverage will be, as you know, better than anybody covering it. Um, and I've proven that overwhelmingly over this past six, seven months and over this past year and a half or two years, when I even broke. I broke the story when nobody else thought it was real. So, thank you to all the subscribers, everybody in the chat, please give it up to them and, like I said, there will be a lot of these. Some of these episodes will be subscriber only. So, uh, just be prepared. Uh, as we move on, as we move on, as we move on, if you want to subscribe, it's in the subscription link in the notes of the phone. If you're watching this, it's in a YouTube subscription link or the Facebook subscription link. I mean captions, where the captions is in the notes. If you're listening to this on your on your phone or through the podcast app or Spotify, your phone or through the podcast app or Spotify, just look in the show notes and you'll see the Buzzsprout subscription link and click on that and you'll have access to everything. There will be a lot of subscription only content for this Diddy trial. So let's move on.
Speaker 1:Let's get back to this article that is going to tell us everything we need to know and what we should expect. This article took place Now. Mind you, this article took place quite some time ago, so just put yourself in that mind frame. This says facing charges. This comes from Vanity Fair, called the Player King. It's about Diddy Facing criminal charges in the Club New York Rumble that put him and girlfriend Jennifer Lopez on page one.
Speaker 1:Sean Puffy Combs is a Bentley driving Cristal, spilling contradiction. Who is the real? Puff Daddy, aka Diddy the talent spotter, was street cred whose bad boy label and underworld connections drew him into a gang war that may have killed tupac chicory and biggie smalls, which many believe diddy had might had a role in. I don't know, time will tell. Stephen Daly investigates Puffy's violent rise and wonders if his latest legal misstep could be his last.
Speaker 1:Sean Puffy Combs leans over and looks at his likeness and examines it with great care, as he's done so many times. Few in the entertainment field are more astute manipulators of image than Combs. Combs wants to make sure his portrait is right and everything is just right, but as he gets closer to the picture, his pleasant, almost childlike smile dissolves. He tells the photographer you made me look bad. Combs protests in a frown Get it fucking right. He is not this day addressing some high priced photographer, but no, this is a middle-aged female court artist, a sketcher that he cussed out. Listen to this y'all. He literally cussed out a sketch artist. A middle-aged female sketch artist was at his bail hearing and he told her you made me look mad. The woman timidly explains to Combs that his face was in a heavy shadow from where she was sitting. He wants her to change the fucking sketch. She vigorously applies eraser to the paper. Then Combs returned to his seat and his expression returns, as it almost always does in public, to a smile, evil smile, do you? This is facts. This ain't no made up shit. Do y'all understand what type of mindset you gotta have to cuss out A sketch artist At your court bail hearing? This is the guy we dealing with. Today.
Speaker 1:More than ever, sean Combs needs to keep his game face on. Numerous are the worries that currently beset the 30 year old hip-hop mogul he's 30 now, y'all who has been a dominant force in his musical genre for the best part of a decade, having introduced the world to Bentley, driving Cristal, spilling white fur coat, wearing player culture on his way to making the cover of Forbes and spinning off into many extensions. These include two restaurants, a clothing line and more. In the midst of his success, however, he's also had a number of scrapes with the law, and it is a legal matter that brings him here to court on this chilly day in february. The grave is such problem he's had yet to be confronted.
Speaker 1:Combs is charged with two felony gun possession offenses stemming from an incident on in december. On december 27th 1999 at manhattan's club, new york, during its weekly hot chocolate night. According to the prosecution, combs brandished a gun inside of the club after an altercation with a fellow rival in which one or both of the men threw cash in the face of each other, a gesture that both considered disrespect. Immediately thereafter, police report jamal shine barrel, a Belize rapper who is signed to Combs, fired several shots, injuring three club goers. Barrow was arrested outside the club, new York, allegedly with a nine millimeter pistol tucked in his waistband. We now know that Shine didn't do this shit. According to him, diddy was the shooter. But, like many times before and many times after, diddy threw his money and weight around, and so a young, innocent rapper ended up serving 10 years, while Diddy didn't even get a slap on the wrist, goes on to say it is by now urban fable how Combs was subsequently apprehended, along with Jennifer Lopez, the actress singer slash, girlfriend of Combs, the actress singer slash, girlfriend of Holmes.
Speaker 1:They were apprehended in a leaking Navigator on 8th Avenue. Police allegedly found a 9mm revolver under the passenger seat, accompanied by Combs' bodyguard, a childhood friend, anthony Wolf Jones, who would later be killed. Combs reportedly attempted to stash the gun in one of the navigator's customized hidden compartments. Another allegedly Combs gun was found along the chase route. Combs had apparently threw it out the window. Then Combs and Jennifer Lopez were detained and many wonder how Jennifer Lopez and Combs especially Jennifer Lopez was not charged with any crime Nevertheless spent a tearful 14 hours in custody. Today, supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon will hear arguments about what bail should be levied on the gun possession charges against Combs and Jones and on the 11 more serious charges. All three men had pled not guilty. Henderson, the driver, has not been charged and is expected to be the key witness for the prosecution when the case eventually comes to trial. Now, if you remember, the driver recently said Diddy tried to offer him $50,000 cash to take the charge for Diddy and he also offered him an expensive ring to hold as collateral, both of which the driver claims he denied, which the driver claims he denied.
Speaker 1:The history is here. Read between the lines. It goes on to talk about other incidents. Combs moved on with his career after that trial. There were some setbacks but he continued, like the fatal crowd stampede in 1991 at a celebrity basketball game but that Combs promoted near the start of his career. It was a violent death of his friend and label mate Biggie Smalls in 1997.
Speaker 1:The gun play at the promotional video and and also a widely known incident where Combs admitted in 1999 to physically assaulting an executive that a lot of us know as to be named, is Stephen Stout. Stephen Stout was beat down by Diddy and his henchmen, or whatever you want to call them all, because of something that Diddy didn't like on a video that he did, the Hate Me Now video with Nas. There was a scene that was put in there that Diddy didn't like and they went to Steven Stout, steve Stout I call him Steven Stout, but his name is like and they went to Steven Stout, steve Stout, I call him Steven Stout, but his name is Steve Stout. They went to his office and beat the hell out of him. Now what did Puffy do? Or aka Diddy? He threw his money around and those charges were dismissed with just a slap on the wrist. With just a slap on the wrist. Again, same pattern Do crimes, terrorize people, pay people off, rinse and repeat, and that pattern of events has led to the trial of the century that we got going on right now.
Speaker 1:Even Heavy D if you remember the late great Heavy D said that Diddy had times of rage and handled himself like a five-year-old. If anybody knows Heavy D, he is one of the most respected rappers, entertainers of all time. You won't find a bad word said about Heavy D, a bad word said about Heavy D. So when somebody like Heavy D says that, you need to listen Many times.
Speaker 1:The photographer there was a photographer that had took some pictures Lowly photographer and I don't mean lowly in a bad way, I'm just saying like a person just trying to make it and he had took some photographs that he was authorized to take, but diddy didn't want him to have those photographs. So what did? Did he do? So? What did Diddy do? Him and all his guys put pistols to this guy's head and demanded he hand over the pictures and information that that photographer had worked hard for guy just trying to make a living. And again, this ain't speculation. Diddy was charged with this shit trying to make a living. And again, this ain't speculation. Diddy was charged with this shit. But you know what happened? It ended up being something like a $1,000 fine and they lowered it to a misdemeanor. Why? Because when you got money, you can pretty much get away with anything for a certain amount of time. You pulling out guns on photographers to get to get footage, you, you, you, you top tier asshole, you a top tier piece of shit. And when you get away with stuff like this over and over again and you're allowed to pull out pistols on people and take their merchandise or take not their merchandise, but take their hard work and all you have to pay is a thousand dollar fine and some weak ass, and it gets brought down to some weak ass misdemeanor charge. Well, guess what? Karma is undefeated and you may get away with it once, you may get away with it twice, you may even get away with it three times, but there's an expiration date and on these particular crime, the expiration date is May 5th 2025. And if we know about expiration dates. If you fuck with it after that expiration date, you're going to have hell to pay.
Speaker 1:Ladies and gentlemen of the Flow Show, no Filter. That is where we are here, where we're at right now. So many mysterious deaths surrounding this man. Biggie Tupac, heavy D, kim Porter how can I forget? You know, kim Porter, the mother of Diddy's children, who said she was going to put out a tell-all book and mysteriously died of pneumonia shortly thereafter? Yeah, that, kim Porter. Everybody dying around this man.
Speaker 1:Many people don't believe it's a coincidence. I don't know what it is. All I know is Today starts the day of weeding out what's real, what's fake, what really happened, what didn't happen. But if you want to have an idea, or get an idea of why and how serious this is, diddy offered everything except for his everything, including his left arm. Fifty million dollars to put his house up. Everything he could, he threw every piece of money he could at this one and for the very first time, the system said no. The system said fuck your money, you got to deal with these charges. Think about that.
Speaker 1:I just spent 40 minutes detailing so many crimes that don't even cover the half of it that went on same high school. I went to come from the same city. I came from Kid Cudi, wonderful guy, say what you want to say about Kid Cudi, but Kid Cudi is a person that does his own thing. He don't bother nobody and he's always speaking positivity into the universe. We both went to Shaker Heights High School Shout out to Red Raiders, but Diddy blew his car up. Why? But Diddy blew his car up? Why did Diddy blow his car up? Simply because Cassie, when she left Diddy, kid Cudi was a soft place for her to land and they talked and Diddy told Cassie right out of his mouth that he would fuck Kid Cudi up. He would blow his shit up. This is the type of evidence and shit we're going to hear in the testimony. Because Diddy, that's the arson. See Diddy blowing up Kid Cudi's car. That's part of his case and Cassie and Kid Cudi had many talks about it, but at the time Diddy didn't face any charges and no accountability on on blowing up a man's car right in his driveway.
Speaker 1:Somebody I look up look, look. Now I look up to somebody I I look at as a a decent human being is kid cuddy, who comes from where I come from. I'm always gonna have his back. Cuddy invited me to his house when he first blew up, when, when day and night came out, day and night. Y'all remember that. Uh, kid cuddy invited me to his one of his first shows at the house of blues and and it just meant a lot that that when anytime somebody at the House of Blues and it just meant a lot that anytime somebody at the height of their career invites you into their world and treats you with respect and looks at you just like a peer, I will always show love and respect to that person.
Speaker 1:Kid Cudi, a good dude. Kid Cudi got his car blew up because he was a good dude. Most people would stay 100 miles away from Cassidy Cassie because they know the type of shit that Diddy is capable of. But Kid Cudi is from where I'm from and it's called the city called Don't Give a Fuck Cleveland. We don't give a fuck. We from Cleveland, we come from the bottom. We had to make do and make an opportunity out of no opportunity. So we don't fear the Diddy's and the rest of these monsters. But because he was a good guy, he accepted Cassie. And not only that, he's a good enough guy where Diddy, the typical bully would definitely blow up his car. Because, I ask you this 50 Cent has said and did so much crazy shit to Diddy, called him all kinds of names, put his business out there. You ever heard of Diddy blowing up 50 Cent's car? No, and you never will. Because bullies only bully people. They think they can get away with it and won't have to face no combat or no retaliation. Danny D Kane, d Woods I have so many personal relationships or personal experiences with people that have dealt with Diddy.
Speaker 1:I had no choice but to grab this case by the balls no, did he and cover it the way I'm covering it Now. I give all the information because y'all know I don't want to make anybody believe. I don't want to control what y'all think or believe. That's why I break down articles, because articles because they are liable and they can be sued they have to give the entire picture. So to make sure that I'm giving you guys the entire picture, not just leaning towards or against Diddy, I cover the articles but I'm also honest with my community and so I tell y'all my opinion on certain things and if I think he guilty, I tell you I think he guilty. That doesn't mean I'm only gonna cover shit to make him look guilty. I'm gonna cover everything, because you guys want all the information and that's what I've been my promise to you all from the start of this podcast. I will give you all all the information because I'm not concerned with people having to agree with me. That's not what I'm here for. I'm here to have conversations and give you all of the information and, at the same time, just give you my opinion, which is just my opinion. But the facts I give you, every last fact, whether it's a fact that may help Diddy or a fact that may hurt Diddy or a fact that may hurt Diddy I will give it to you all. So if you don't want to miss the best coverage of Diddy, I suggest you subscribe, but if not, I'm fine with that too. I appreciate everybody involved, whether you subscribe or not. I'm fine with that too. I appreciate everybody involved, whether you subscribe or not. Just know that me and the subscribers we're going to be talking about a lot of stuff. As you know, in my podcast I cover stuff that none of these other people cover, because I was there. So I have a lot of knowledge of stuff that they don't even know about, because I just have the unique experience of actually being in the industry at a high level and then going on to have one of the best podcasts and content creating platforms period. So I want to thank everybody out there and we look forward to this trial.
Speaker 1:I went out last night. Y'all know I don't go out much at all. I mean, I I really don't, I just work. Uh, the most I'm going to be going out is when I go on this tour that starts in july the flow show, no filter tour, um. But the couple times I went out, I'm always spotted by fans, which is amazing, which is still surreal.
Speaker 1:And last night, um, a guy came up to me. He said I had an empty seat next to me. He said is somebody sitting there? It was actually my best friend was sitting there, and so I said yeah, my best friend was sitting there, but then he walked away and then I noticed I said, shit, it's a million seats, though. Why the fuck would he ask me? Why the fuck would he ask me, can he sit? And I'm pretty sure he knows my best friend was sitting next to me. Darnell just happened to be dancing or getting some food and I just said, okay, you know I pay attention to everything y'all. That is my gift and my curse. I'm looking at a thousand things, I'm dissecting everything.
Speaker 1:So anyway, later on tonight I walk out to leave uh me and darnell walking out to leave and uh same guy walks up to me and I'm like all right now, what the fuck is going on now? And he says are you flow? I said yes. He said man, I'm your biggest fan. He said I knew that was you. He said, but when I heard your voice, he said I knew for sure that was you. And he said that's why I asked you, because I wanted to hear your voice and make sure that was you.
Speaker 1:And we made a video, took a picture and, like I said, that's not the first time that's happened to me on this journey At this point, to be recognized all the way in another country I'm in Puerto Rico, to be recognized every time I go out like that, lets me know I'm one of the like. People know who I am and that's just a good feeling because all my supporters it feels like family. I mean this community. I've just skyrocketed and blew up in a way I would have never imagined and it happened so fast that the only. I love y'all so much because I was just telling my best friend, there's only two people and I'm excluding my parents, but there's literally only two people who I know are genuinely happy for me, and that's my best friend darnell, and that's my son Harold III, aka King. Those two are the only ones I know are genuinely happy for me, and when I say those two, I mean those two, and I might have some other friends or family members that might hear this and feel some kind of way, but I'm just being honest my best friend and him and outside of them, my community, you guys, the people watching this video, the people listening to this audio. This is why I pour into you all so much.
Speaker 1:Y'all don't know how much I appreciate y'all, because when you do what I do, not only do you catch a lot of flack from people who don't want the truth out, but people who are around you have been longtime friends, longtime close friends, even family members. They don't even know how to take it. You know they're not really happy for me, and a lot of times they're not happy for me because they're not happy with their own life. So I get it, I don't. I don't get offended by it at all. But I'm gonna say again the three, the three entity, the three people that are actually genuinely happy for me as I've ascended to a level that I've never.
Speaker 1:I just wasn't even in the plan. I didn't start amplifying victims uh, victims stories and trying to help victims and reporting news. I didn't do that shit thinking I would blow up to this who does, who thinks that. I never thought a news person would get this kind of love. I didn't do it for that. I didn't do this to become famous. That was never my intent at all. So it happened. It wasn't my plan, but it was God's plan, and I'm only telling you this so y'all can understand why I love and value my community, my listeners and all of y'all, because y'all aside from Darnell, my best friend since I was four years old, we got basically a 40 year friendship, best friends. So, other than Darnell and my son, the only other people that are genuinely happy for me is y'all, and so I appreciate y'all. So it's something called. Before we get out of here, I want to let y'all know what it's called.
Speaker 1:The easy term is success guilt, and it's you almost feel guilty. When you reach a high level of success, you almost feel guilty for leaving people behind, or you know you feel guilty because, or bad because, people aren't happy for you. I can't even really. I can only talk about my good fortunes or things that happen good to my son and my best friend. I can't really talk to anybody else about it because they don't want to hear it. They don't want to hear it, so it's like I just got to keep it all inside. But I can talk to y'all, and the actual term, though, is a toppy tall poppy syndrome.
Speaker 1:Tall poppy syndrome is when people resent or try to cut down someone who stands out because of their achievements, who stands out because of their achievements. It's more about how others react to you, but it can lead to my mixed feelings Of I'm proud, yet I feel uneasy, and that also has me experiencing ambiguous grief. And that's not because something bad happened, but because success has changed my relationships around me, and it's a weird feeling, but I don't care. I would never trade this for anything in the world. I love what I do. I'm only saying this so y'all can get an idea on the love that I appreciate from y'all, and it's real, because y'all are genuinely happy for me.
Speaker 1:Y'all have been here from the beginning. Y'all not cousins and long friends I haven't heard from from a million years now sending me messages because they want to see what they can get out of me. Now and I'm not saying this to to for a pity party at all I am happy as hell, love my son, I love my best friend and I love y'all. I'm just letting y'all know it's us against the world and I'm gonna keep covering this shit. So stay tuned, I might have some shit later on today, but ain't another motherfucker doing this that's gonna cover the ditty trial, like me, as I've already proved. Ain't nothing else to say. But bye, as always, always, always, I love y'all, but I'm out.
