Diddy getting bail? Tragedy in Midtown: The Manhattan Mass Shooting

Flo Season 1 Episode 200

Send us a text

A quiet Monday afternoon in Midtown Manhattan turned into a scene of unspeakable horror when a lone gunman entered a commercial building on Park Avenue and opened fire, leaving four people dead, including a heroic NYPD officer. The ripple effects of this tragedy touch on some of America's most pressing issues - gun violence, mental health, and the long-term impact of sports-related brain injuries.

The alleged shooter, 27-year-old Shane Tamura, crossed multiple state lines before arriving at his target - a building housing the NFL's corporate offices. What makes this case particularly haunting is the note found at the scene, where Tamura expressed concerns that his mental health struggles were linked to CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) from playing football in his youth. The potential connection between traumatic brain injuries and violent behavior raises profound questions about responsibility, prevention, and treatment.

Among those lost were NYPD Officer Islam, a 36-year-old immigrant who leaves behind two young children and a pregnant wife; and Wesley Lepatner, a Blackstone executive described by colleagues as "brilliant, passionate, warm, and deeply respected." Their stories remind us of the human cost behind the statistics - dedicated professionals simply doing their jobs, their futures stolen in moments of senseless violence.

The case highlights troubling gaps in our systems, as Tamura legally possessed firearms despite documented mental health issues. As communities mourn and families grieve, we're left grappling with difficult questions: How do we better identify and help those in mental health crisis before tragedy strikes? What responsibility do sports organizations have toward long-term player health? And what meaningful steps can we take to prevent the next heartbreaking headline?

Join us as we navigate these complex issues with compassion, clarity, and a commitment to finding solutions that might prevent future tragedies. Share your thoughts and perspectives - what changes would make a meaningful difference in addressing the root causes of gun violence in America?

Speaker 1:

Y'all a story that I one of the big stories that I haven't followed very closely. I've followed it, but I haven't followed it and deep-dived in it, but deep. But the Tory Lanez, you know where he shot at Megan the Stallion and went to prison for 10 years. Well, apparently his appeal, he's getting an appeal or they got open arguments. If we have some time at the end we'll go over our article talking about what's going on in the toy lanes. Y'all don't know toy lanes is a rapper't know Tory Lanez is a rapper and Meg Thee Stallion is a rapper and there was a shooting. Everybody was arguing and Meg Fran was there and it was like a love triangle and next thing we know Meg Thee Stallion was apparently shot in her foot and I guess Tory Lanez did it, but now they're saying he didn't do it. It's been a crazy story but if we got time at the end we're going to go over that.

Speaker 1:

But first let's get into this shooting y'all. The crazy part is it's a shame that you got to side-eye all the information that you're getting on these stories like this mass shooting, just because you have to just be careful about the information you take. As a matter of fact, you know we always talk about getting old, right? So, man, I'm getting to the age you know you're getting old when the schools, the elementary schools you went to start getting demolitioned and tore down. So shout out to Woodbury. Woodbury Elementary School in Shaker. I went there. It was a school that was for just for fifth and sixth graders and apparently they tearing the motherfucker down and turning it into a middle school or something. But I just say, hey, that's when you know you're getting old. When the schools you went to start getting tore the fuck down Like I would never. I thought I would never see the day with Woodbury getting tore down. I don't know. I don't know if y'all have experienced that yet, but it definitely Okay. We got Bronx in the building fire glory. So shout out to Woodbury and any Shaker people that I may have in the chat or just watched this video. Let me know in the comments if you went to Shaker, if you're a Shaker person and if you knew that Woodbury was getting tore the fuck down, damn, all right.

Speaker 1:

So let's get into this shooting man. Let's, let's, let's, let's, uh, let's, let's see what happened. Uh, into the in this shooting situation. This is sad y'all. Uh. Then the guy apparently unalived himself, but there was a note found at the scene. I don't know, a lot of people don't know. There was a note found at the scene that may be, uh, key information into the motive of what went on in this shooting. But let's, uh, let's get into this. Uh, this is from Fox News NY shooting.

Speaker 1:

What to know about Shane Tamura, gunman who killed four, including an NYPD cop, in midtown Manhattan. Now we've been getting all type of numbers of how many people were unalive, so we're going to go through a couple of articles, but this one's saying four people killed, including an NYPD cop. I've heard five. I've heard all kind of numbers. So we're going to dig through the weeds and see what the hell we come up with. This is just one of those situations is even hard to talk about. But let's go.

Speaker 1:

A lone gunman walked into a midtown Manhattan office building Monday afternoon an open fire, killing four people, including an NYPD officer, before turning the gun on himself. Why I really hate the most. You know what I hate the most? When somebody unalives innocent people and then right after that unalives themselves. I mean, it could sound kind of cruel or cold, but it's like. I'm not advocating to ever unalive yourself, but I'm just saying to unalive a few people right before you unalive yourself. It's just like I don't know. It's even more sad. It's just like, damn, you had to take them out before you, like man. It is just crazy.

Speaker 1:

Um, they say that this guy had driven across state lines with this vehicle, having been seen as recently as 424 pm on Monday in Columbia, new Jersey, not long before he unleashed this barrage of gunfire. Officers found a rifle case with rounds, a loaded revolver, ammunition and magazines, a backpack and medication prescribed to Tamura. Tish said so. Apparently this guy had mental health issues, but he also had a license to carry and I'm interested to know how did he get a license to carry with mental issues? I don't know if you have mental issues, you know nothing wrong with it, but I don't think you should be operating or able to have rifles. But as let's dig in, the vehicle was searched by the nypd's bomb squad but found to be clear of any explosives. Police said tomorrow is believed to have acted alone and there is no longer a threat to the community. So if you're in New York, they're saying there's no threat as of right now.

Speaker 1:

The building Tamura entered and opened fire is 345 Park Avenue. It is a commercial building building where tenants include the nfl, rooting, uh, rooting management, kpmg and blackstone documents. Now, he did play canadian football, uh, I don't know if he was mad and we just speculating right now because we don't know anything concrete as far as motive, but it just so happens he played in the canadian league. I don't know if the nfl uh, if he felt like the nfl did him wrong. I don't know. I'm just talking because you know a lot of those players who don't make the nfl, they end up in the canadian league, and it just so happens that the NFL is inside of uh, inside of this building anyway. Documents obtained by Fox News uh digital indicate Tamura had concealed carry permit that was issued on June 14, 2022 and is valid for five years. Tamira also carried a private investigator license and had a misdemeanor for trespassing not amounting to burglary in 2023. This guy had a lot of different things going on, yet he was able to operate heavy artillery legally. Apparently. Earlier records show Tamera played football at Granada Hills Charter in Granada Hills, california, which is about 25 miles northwest of Los Angeles. He had also worked as a security guard at Las Vegas Casino.

Speaker 1:

The gunman was armed with a rifle and first opened fire in the lobby of the building on 52nd Street on Park Avenue. He went to another floor and shot people there, sources told Fox News, before going up to the 33rd floor and shooting himself. Police are still searching for a motive in Monday's deadly shooting this guy what the hell y'all? No motive, motive, something just doesn't smell right. No motive. And this guy drives across the country, shoot a few people and kill a few people in a building, then immediately unalives himself and they don't know a motive so far, but we're going gonna get into that note. So there was a note left at the scene of the crime and they found this note and they say it may be key to this motive that we don't know what the fuck happened or why. This is from Channel 4, actually in New York, so local news reported this.

Speaker 1:

Good morning Waking Bay crew. Yeah, y'all gonna have to take a couple extra puffs this morning. Fire Glory says she works in Midtown and it seemed calm. But you never know, I'm always alert because I'm not going to take any risks. I need to be here for my two kids expect. Yeah, I definitely feel you on that. Fire miss glory. And um, yeah, it's just crazy, but they found a note, so we're gonna talk about this note. Uh, yanni says it's sad, but in america people value their gun rights more than they value living. Yeah, these guns and this gun situation is just out of control. Tinkle says a couple extra puffs say less. So what the hell is going on with this note?

Speaker 1:

There was a note found at the scene in manhattan office shooting. May be key to motive. Witness sources say the suspect, identified as 27 year old, shane tamura of las vegas took his own life with self-inflicting gunshot wound. Investigators say A note written by the shooting suspect was found at the Midtown Manhattan office building scene where he unaligned four people, and among these four people, like we said before, was an NYPD officer. Ok, so the investigation of course started overnight and that document may have insight into a potential motive for the attack. Law enforcement has identified the gunman in monday's Park Avenue shooting as 27-year-old Shane. We already established that, but according to officials familiar with the investigation, in the note found at the scene, Tamira voiced anger that his mental illness may be linked to his having played football in his youth Stop. The Park Avenue address he targeted is home to NFL's corporate offices, amongst others investigated. They are looking into that as a possible motive.

Speaker 1:

What did I say? What did I say? Y'all this could be linked and we're just throwing things out there y'all. We don't know exactly what the hell it is. This is all reading tea leaves and giving our honest opinions of what we may think, but you know that CTE is linked to football brain injuries causing people to do crazy shit. Remember I hadn't even read this article. I'm reading this article with you guys in real time, but remember when I I put two and two together. This is why I told you a lot of this stuff. You could read the tea leaves and it will tell you a lot. I hadn't even read this. I didn't know anything about this note, about being a note about mental health and football and head injuries or whatever, but I did notice it was strange or not I want to say strange, but it was ironic that he was a person that had some type of football dreams, played football, played in some Canadian league which most of those guys had dreams of, playing in the NFL, and whatever reason didn't work out. They weren't talented enough or whatever. Well, hold on y'all. So when you put all that together and then you realize that, hold up. And then the building that he went and shot up the NFL just happened to be a tenant there. Our offices were there. Now it's like hold up.

Speaker 1:

I'm starting to find somewhat, somewhat of a connection motive, whatever was it to just the mental health. Was he mad because his uh, uh? Was he anger? Angry because he didn't make it to the nfl? He felt like the nfl or football robbed him of a peaceful life because now he got these head injuries. There has been so much research on this cte stuff, y'all, with the nfl and um, it's like a lot of people don't even want their kids playing football anymore. You know this shit, they got this cte and these brain injuries with this nfl stuff or just not just NFL but just playing football. I told you it got to the point where people don't even want their kids to play football anymore. Nfl has came out with new helmets that are supposed to cushion the head. It's just been a crazy situation with the CTE.

Speaker 1:

So, like I said, I had no clue. I hadn't read this article about the note. I just picked it out as an article that I wanted to go over with you guys. Like I always tell y'all, for the most part I like to go over in real time, so y'all get my initial reaction as y'all reading it. I'm reading it with y'all and here it is. I had no clue, but as uh, we got the uh football in the nfl as one of the strong possibilities of the motive for this crazy shit. So let's continue. Um law enforcement. According to them, he linked this to the NFL. Now let's continue.

Speaker 1:

According to officials familiar with the investigation, in that note found at the scene, he expressed anger of his mental illness that was caused by playing football as a kid. Specifically, the Park Avenue shooting suspect note wonders about. Look at this y'all. I'm telling y'all, I am just I'm getting this information in this article with you guys. I am just I'm getting this information in this article with you guys. But everything that I'm talking about is laying itself out in this article. Now the next thing what does the article start to talk about? Cte. That's why I tell you I'm the king of reading the tea leaves, I'm the king of it, I'm good at connecting dots. I didn't even know this article was going to go into cte. I was just telling y'all my opinions. But now let's see what the article says. Specifically, the park avenue shooting suspect note wonders about cte being a possible cause of his mental illness.

Speaker 1:

Cte or chronic traumatic encephalopathy oh, this word, I can't even pronounce this word, it's so long. We're just going to say CTE. Chronic traumatic E word is a progressive neurodegenerative disease found in individuals with a history of repetitive head trauma. Symptoms include cognitive impairment and mood, personality and behavioral changes, as well as movement disorders. It can only be diagnosed in an autopsy. This CTE shit is very complicated but it's very deadly.

Speaker 1:

We've had other NFL players who have been proven to have CTE that have also killed other people and then killed themselves. One of them is what was his name? Hernandez Eric Hernandez, the guy that played a tight end for the New England Patriots. They linked possibly CTE to him, actually killing people and ended up killing himself in prison. This guy was on top of the world. He was a tight end. He was like the best tight end in the NFL, playing for a Super Bowl contending team, one of the best teams of all time, and then he went off the rails. In an interview on MSNBC's Morning, joe Mayor Eric Adams has asked about the possible link between CTE, between the note, and whether he wanted to target the NFL offices. He talked about CTE, between the note and whether he wanted to target the NFL offices. He talked about CTE. He was not an NFL player. We have reason to believe that he was focused on the NFL agency that was located in the building and we're going to continue to investigate with our federal partners to ensure that we can find a reason and identify any other weapons.

Speaker 1:

Adding that NYPD found an additional weapon in a car that was parked outside, nfl Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the shooting in a note to employees late Monday. He noted an NFL employee was seriously injured in the attack and was last said to be hospitalized in stable condition. Wow, so an NFL employee was seriously injured and apparently obviously shot up. Man, what the hell is going on, y'all? What the hell is going on? I just don't understand it. Yep, aaron Hernandez. Yep, you're right, c c-tech, that was his name, aaron hernandez. Uh, he, he, he was on top of the world nfl player. Uh, linked to cte. He ended up killing people and killing himself and he had the whole world at the palm of his hands. It just makes no sense. They were calling the shooting an unspeakable act of violence. Goodell said there would be an increased security presence in the building in the days and weeks to come. Grief counselors will be on hand, he said, and urge all employees to take advantage of the resources available to them. All employees to take advantage of the resources available to them.

Speaker 1:

Few details have been released so far about the victims in the shooting, apart from the NYPD officer who was killed as he worked and paid detail at the building on his day off. The investment firm Blackstone confirmed Tuesday that one of his executive employees had been killed as well, and I quote we are heartbroken to share that our colleague Wesley Lepatner was among those who lost their lives in the tragic incident at 345 Park Avenue. At 345 Park Avenue, words cannot express the devastation we feel. Wesley was a beloved member of the Blackstone family and will be sorely missed. Let's send prayers for Wesley and his family y'all, I mean, and her family, I'm sorry. She was brilliant, passionate, warm, generous and deeply respected with our firm and beyond and continue. She embodied the best of Blackstone. Our prayers are with her husband, children and family. By the loss of another innocent victim as well, including a brave security personnel and nypd.

Speaker 1:

Just fucking ridiculous man. I don't even know. This is one of those things y'all. I don't even know how, how to avoid this shit is it? Do we avoid it by stricter gun laws? Do we avoid it by having metal detectors all over the fucking place? What the hell do you avoid, avoid some shit like this? It's almost like if a person is crazy or out of their mind and just want to do something. It's almost like you can't stop. I don't know y'all. It's almost like you can't stop them. I don't know y'all. It's just.

Speaker 1:

This shit is frustrating because nothing like an innocent person at their job providing for their family. We all busting our ass to do the best we can and then we got some lunatic coming in just blasting motherfuckers. We got some lunatic coming in just blasting motherfuckers. It's just the worst shit in the world. Man Security personnel tried to save him. The security gets shot the fuck up. Nypd there is trying to protect they get shot the fuck up. Then you got this innocent young lady, wesley LePattner, who they say was a brilliant, passionate, warm, generous, deeply respected worker, is blasted and no longer here and all she was doing was working. She didn't do shit wrong. She's at her job trying to provide for her family, her husband, her children. And got somebody coming in there blasting because they got rifles and shit, with mental health and trespassing and all type of shit going on. And this person got a rifle and carries it across state lines. And then now we don't have we missing people. Now let's continue.

Speaker 1:

Um, the officer who was killed. His last name was islam, 36 year old, an immigrant from bangladesh who has served as a police officer in new york city for just over three years. Uh, police commissioner jessica tish said at a news conference 36-year-old immigrant police officer, another person just at work, just at work trying to protect people and next thing you know he's leaving behind his two young boys and his wife, who is pregnant with their third child. Do y'all understand this? This police officer, 36 year old young guy 36-year-old young guy leaves behind his wife, two kids and a third child yet to be born. They were caught. He was doing the job that we asked him to do. He put himself in harm's way. He made the ultimate sacrifice. He died as he lived. A hero. This is what the commissioner said. Four other people got minor injuries attempting to flee the scene.

Speaker 1:

Surveillance video showed a man exit a double-parked BMW while carrying an M4 rifle, before walking toward the building. Tisch said he immediately opened fire on a New York Police Department officer as he entered the building and shot a woman who tried to take cover and then began spraying the lobby with gunfire. And then began spraying the lobby with gunfire. What the fuck? Just coming in there killing hardworking folks, man? This is the shit that just pisses me off. Man. It's just not fair to just be at your freaking job, working, doing the right thing, and some asshole. Whoever did this shit or whoever this guy is, or whatever the story is. People end up dead for no fucking reason.

Speaker 1:

The man who made his way to an elevator bank and shot a security guard who was taking cover behind a security desk and shot another man in the lobby, I wish he would have ran out of fucking bullets, y'all. And I and I know, and I know some of this shit I'm saying gonna be kind of sounding a little cruel and but if it's in my head I gotta let it out I wish he would have ran out of bullets when he tried to take his own life and would have had to face the fucking consequences. Man, I wish, when he went up on that, whatever floor that was, and he went to pull the trigger, I wish the fucking gun would have jammed. This is the type of shit. You're supposed to have to face these consequences. But hey, I guess he's going to answer to God the ultimate judge. But hey, I guess he's going to answer to God the ultimate judge. But for selfish reasons, I wish he would have had to answer to us and answer to the fucking prison and the system and hear what all these families would have to say at the court hearing and the sentencing, and they could have had a chance to cut them out, and that's what I wish to sing. And they could have had a chance to cut him out, and that's what I wish. I wish he would have ran out of fucking bullets and wouldn't have been able to take his own life like a coward after taking all these innocent people's lives, taking people away from their family, their children Just overall bullshit y'all.

Speaker 1:

The man then took to the elevator to the 33rd floor to a real estate management company and shot and killed another person on that floor. The man then walked down a hallway and shot himself. Officers found a rifle case, a revolver, magazines and ammunition in the car. Commissioner said the initial investigation shows his vehicle traveled across through Colorado on July 26th, then Nebraska and Ohio I mean not Ohio, my bad Then Nebraska and Iowa on July 27th and arrived in Columbia, new Jersey, as recently as 4.24 pm Monday. He drove into New York City shortly thereafter. No one answered the door at the address listed for Tamira in Las Vegas. Of course not.

Speaker 1:

This is the type of shit that make you wish you know, wish you could see the future, man, and you could just know that somebody was about to do some crazy shit and as soon as he pulled up, ran from behind his ass and tackled the fuck out of him and beat his ass and choked him until the police came. But unfortunately, god didn't bless us with the ability to see the future for this type of shit, because this just burns me the fuck up, man. This type of shit burns me up. Man, this type of shit burns me up. Man, uh, elise, uh just saying hey, community, just saying a quick hi and stay safe. It's crazy out in these streets. First we had a multiple stabbing at walmart, uh, and now this dude shooting people who are just working. Man, this is fucked up. Man. Hey, elyse, glad to see you. I haven't seen you unless you've been in the chat, and I didn't see you, hadn't seen you in a while. Good to see you.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna take some chat, some, some comments from the chat for a second. Give myself a chance to calm the fuck down. I just don't like, just can't stand, man, when a dude, when this type of shit happens and I don't even know what the answer is. Man, I'm out of answers. I just wish it didn't fucking happen. I just wish it didn't fucking happen. Steph said Flo, we are in the same headspace. I just ain't getting to understand why, why, why? How can you be so fucking cruel, man? Just pull up and just blast them folks.

Speaker 1:

Desi says they took guns out and replaced them with machetes in her community. So it's like people are just going to Welcome to the flow show, fam, this is what we do. It's crazy as hell out here. Yes, yes, yes, this is this is just no words can describe, no words can even you can't even put this shit into words, man. Let's see what else we got here y'all. Um, prayers to deon sanders on a side note. Um, uh, he had cancer and bladder cancer and apparently he is cancer free now, but he's been going through that for quite some time. So I just want to send a prayer to him and his family. Y'all know Shador Sanders is uh trying to be the quarterback for my team, the Browns. You know that's just on a side note. But back to this 6-6-6 situation. I just don't know what to say. We just got to pray for each other man and move on's.

Speaker 1:

How many of y'all have been following this crazy story with? Uh, lily said her mother passed from bladder cancer at the age of 58. That is no joke. Wow, sorry to hear that. Sorry to hear that. Sorry to hear that. Sorry to hear that. Cancer has been all up and through my family man. I hate to even talk about it.

Speaker 1:

So many people have passed from cancer I don't even know what to say. Prayers for Dion. Melissa says she's sorry Lily and she lost her mom to lung cancer. Yeah, cancer is just cancer. It's it's between gun violence and cancer. Um, as just took, I would say shit, 80 percent of lives, almost it seems like I don't know that may be high number, but 80% of lives, almost it seems like I don't know that may be high number, but it's just that cancer and gun violence is really fucking shit up y'all. It's really fucking shit up these days. But Dion man said he went through all kind of surgeries and it's just, it's just, it's just unbelievable.

Speaker 1:

Deon's raising the hell out of his sons and and, uh, his children got him in, got them playing basketball I mean some basketball my mind is gone this morning with all this crazy news y'all but playing football. So let's talk about it, since we have a lot of cancer, one thing we all share. We all have a lot of cancer victims and been through it. Let's see what C-Tuck say. C-tuck says he lost his grandma to stage stage four cancer stage four lung cancer in 2014. Sorry to hear that. Um, I also lost my grandmother to cancer, um, and a great grandmother and a couple uncles. Two of my uncles didn't make it to the age of 60 because of cancer. They both passed before the age of 60. So let's talk about this y'all, since I see a lot of us have all have lost people we love to cancer.

Speaker 1:

Let's get into this Deion Sanders situation where he revealed he fought bladder cancer. Uh, and it's from Fox News as well Deion Sanders needed to have his bladder removed after he was diagnosed with cancer. Over the offseason, the Buffalo's head coach, colorado Buffalo's head coach and medical officials held a news conference to address his health issues. Deion Sanders said man, everybody get checked out, because if it wasn't for me getting tested for something else, they wouldn't have stumbled on this. Make sure you get the right care, because without wonderful people like this, I wouldn't be sitting here today because it grew so expeditiously. But please get yourself checked out. Colorado Assistant Athletic Trainer Lauren said Sanders had an ACT scan of his vascular pattern to check up on whether his blood clots were gone, were away. She said everything was fine from a vascular standpoint until sanders primary care doctor wanted to refer coach prime to a urologist. The doctor conducted a procedure and then referred him to someone else, a UC health Sanders primary care doctor said that the coach had a bladder tumor. We proceeded with the removal of the bladder tumor. We removed the tumor. It was very high grade, invading through the bladder wall, not into the muscular layer, something we call high-risk, non-invasive bladder cancer. I'm pleased the result that the surgery cured his cancer. So shout out to Dion for going through what he went through and being cured of this deadly disease. And I'm not sure if he's going to continue to coach, but prayers are with him and his family as well.

Speaker 1:

Now another thing that's just breaking y'all. Hold up. I am hearing I gotta look this up y'all. I'm just hearing that Diddy is filing for bail and wants to be out of jail right now. What the hell is going on? Hold up y'all. Breaking, breaking news. Let's see what the hell is going on. Did y'all hear this? This is just breaking now. Did y'all hear that Diddy wants bail? Hold up y'all, let's, let's. Let me try to find this information. I just refused, I just I just received. I just received breaking news. Hold up y'all. Breaking news. Hold up y'all. Breaking news Diddy has filed a new emergency motion for bail. What the hell is going on? Let me find this information. Let me find this information. Breaking news from TM Sleazy Everybody, come on in here. We got some fucking breaking ditty news right now. This is July 29th, this literally right now. Y'all, come on in, come on in, come on in, send this to whoever. Check this out, diddy. Diddy says Diddy, let me out of jail now. Judge, I'm a nonviolent criminal.

Speaker 1:

Diddy is taking another bite out of the apple because his legal team just filed a new motion for bail and they say he's the only man in America behind bars for hiring male sex workers to have sex with his girlfriend. Diddy's legal team, spearheaded by Mark Agnifilio and Tina Geragos, just sent a new bail package proposal over to Judge Aaron Subramanian, rattling off a list of reasons why they believe Diddy should be released from jail before October 3rd's sentencing. In docs obtained by TMZ's, diddy's lawyers argue most folks convicted on the Mann Act charges Diddy was found guilty of or released from custody before sentencing. Before sentencing, diddy's camp says it's ridiculous that he's behind bars because he was only convicted of hiring professional male escorts who were not minors and the only thing they did was have sex with his long-term girlfriend as part of threesomes. They say it was all part of Diddy, cassie and James Swinger lifestyle. This is ridiculous. Island says no, sit down, diddy. What the hell? This literally y'all. This news literally just broke as I was doing this podcast, and you know one thing about my phone if anything Diddy comes through, it's gonna send me a notification. Diddy trying to get bail y? Y'all Right now. His lawyers say a lot has changed in terms of society's view on sex since the man Act passed 115 years ago, and they claim Diddy never had sex with the guys he hired, only his girlfriends.

Speaker 1:

Diddy is awaiting sentencing on october 3rd after being convicted of the prostitution charges and skating on the most serious charges theeteering but he was denied bail hours after the jury returned his verdict. The judge said Diddy was a danger in the community because of a violent past that his defense did not shy away from at trial. In the docs, diddy's defense says he's only got violent with jane in june 2024 after she provoked him with her own violent acts, and they claim that that's the only instance of diddy being violent since he split from cast. The jury has shown that cassie hotel beating blah, blah, blah. We don't need to talk about that shit again. We already know about all that. Uh, we talked about Diddy's prepare, his, his, his bail package. Diddy says if the court wants to add some more bail conditions, that's fine too, even if it means home detention, treatment for mental health and substance abuse, electronic surveillance and private security. The judge has yet not yet to rule, but prosecutors previously argued against Diddy being released before sentencing.

Speaker 1:

Stay tuned, y'all. Don't believe this shit. Diddy must be out of adrenochrome, so he needs to get out and do some rituals. Yeah, this is. I cannot believe. This shit came through my phone as I'm doing the fucking podcast Breaking, breaking, fucking news. Somebody, anitra, said he's like Trump. He'll try anything. I cannot believe this. I cannot believe this. Now we wait to see what the judge says about this crap. What a day, y'all. What a day. You just never know what news you're going to get. On the flow show no filter. What the hell? We got a massive shooting last night. We got toy, uh, speaking of shooting. We got tory lanes, uh, going up.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if y'all been following the Tory Lanez situation, but apparently he is getting an appeal. They feel like he didn't do the shoot of Meg Thee Stallion. If y'all not familiar with the story, tory Lanez will go get his day in court in California, california. His appeal has been locked in for August 18th. Oral arguments for his bid to overturn his 10-year sentencing tying him to the 2020 shooting of Meg DiStabile. Tory Lanez seeks to be put on probation. The hearing is set for 9 am in Los Angeles. Put on probation. The hearing is set for 9 am in Los Angeles.

Speaker 1:

Lanes was convicted on felony charges last December 2022 for shooting Meg Thee Stallion in the foot. Following an argument after a Hollywood party, florida Republican, anna Paulina, has stepped into the spotlight calling for Lane's release. She claims new DNA evidence and ring camera footage raised doubts about the prosecution's case. She argued the conviction was largely driven by headlines. Megan and her legal team rejected those claims, calling them false. They maintain the evidence used to convict Lanes was sound and that the new claims are part of a broader misinformation campaign.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. Have y'all been following that case? Like I said, I honestly have not really been following that case, but I just thought it was a breaking news that if you have been following it, you might want to know. Anitra said probation for what If he didn't shoot her? His DNA was not on the gun. Probation for what If he didn't shoot her? His DNA was not on the gun. Yeah, it's just crazy man. Denae said somebody needs to wake Diddy the fuck up and remind him that he's not untouchable.
