Exclusive access to premium content!A grandmother disappears, a city holds its breath, and the signal everyone is chasing might be the smallest one of all. We pull you inside the fast-changing Tucson mystery around Nancy Guthrie and ask the hard questions about timing, tactics, and truth. Why did investigators wait weeks to sweep for a pacemaker’s Bluetooth Low Energy beacons? What does a glove with DNA that hits no CODIS database actually tell us? And how did ransom notes to TMZ end up steering headlines while the search on the ground struggled to gain traction?
We start by grounding the case: the last confirmed movements, the early gaps, and the difference that a decisive first 48 hours can make. Then we break down the tech. You’ll hear a plain-English run-through of how pacemakers communicate, what range constraints really mean, and why flying low to sniff a signal isn’t a magic fix. We balance that with medical context from the community on what device data can and can’t reveal without proximity. The goal isn’t gadget worship; it’s clarity about tools and their limits.
From there, we pivot to forensics and media. A glove tested in Florida meets the legal bar for CODIS but returns no match, reminding us that no-hit does not equal no suspect. Meanwhile, TMZ becomes a surprising hub for anonymous notes, Bitcoin demands, and unverified claims. We unpack what it means for an active investigation when negotiation-by-headline competes with chain-of-custody discipline. Finally, we examine the “neighbor” threads: ring camera footage of a prowler with a distinctive build, a talkative local pointing at family even as reports suggest relatives were cleared, and a community tip about a nearby man with a violent record. We don’t leap to conclusions; we map timelines, behaviors, and the questions that filter noise from signal.
By the end, you’ll have a working checklist to think like a careful observer: verify timestamps, prioritize camera canvasses within storage windows, separate coincidence from corroboration, and watch for overconfident narratives that arrive before evidence. If you care about true crime without the shortcuts, this one will stick with you. Subscribe, share with a friend who follows the case, and tell us: which lead deserves top priority next?

SPEAKER_07:Good morning, y'all. It's the flow show, no filter with members only. Whether you seeing us live or catching the replay on Apple, Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, wherever, we are here. What is going on? Who we got? What's up, Renee? Creepy little beach, elise. What's going on with y'all? What's up, Tracy? What has been going on in the news? So many different things to talk about, y'all. Give me some what y'all been really talking about in the news. What's been getting y'all go? Tell me in the chat. What's got you in a in a rear-necked chokehold? Is it the Epstein? The Epstein Files. Is it Nancy Guthrie? Is it Nancy Guthrie? Guthrie, go three. Uh is it Diddy? What what what got y'all in the choke call this morning? So we can get so we can take a deep dive. I do have a list of a lot of of some of the accountability uh that the Epstein of the people that's been involved with Epstein. I have a list of people who have been held accountable, and everybody in the damn list is out of the is living another country. Literally, nobody that's been held accountable so far with the new list dropping. None of them is in America. No anything. People ain't even resigning. Overseas, you got arrest, you got people resigning, you get people fired because of the Epstein being caught up in and being mentioned in the Epstein Epstein list. You got people, uh uh political people having to step down from office, all of that overseas. Are there any uh uh all of that overseas? Whereas here locally in America, and nobody has been, uh nobody has been uh forced to step down. No arrests, of course, like Tracy said, no investigation, no nothing. Zero charges. Now, I see somebody creepy creepy mentioned the David story. I haven't had any updates on David. If y'all have heard any updates, let me know. But last I heard they were trying to get the family, Davis family, to uh to testify or get involved somehow, and they are refusing. That's the last I heard. If y'all heard anything more recent than that, let me know. But no real update so far. Like I said, the only the last update, again, like I said, was uh the family was being forced, or not being forced, but that they're trying to get the family to participate in the investigation or the or to testify the grand jury, whatever different ways they're trying to get the family to help out, the family, uh, and I'm talking about David's family, is refusing and trying not to help. So that's the uh that's the latest on the David. Like I said, there was no uh uh nothing else besides that.
SPEAKER_05:Um also I know one thing, y'all.
SPEAKER_07:This Nancy case, the grandma, what is going on? And you're right about that, Elise. If the grand jury calls them, they ain't gonna have a choice. But what is really going on with this Nancy Guthrie story? Like it it it seems like a lifetime movie. It just doesn't, it just seems strange to me. I mean, I don't I don't I can't really even explain it. Something may add enough. Two plus two is not equal to four in this case right now. We got random evidence being put out there that we don't know if it's if it if it means something.
SPEAKER_05:If it don't mean nothing. Like what the hell is going on?
SPEAKER_07:Uh something somebody said something about a pacemaker. Let's let's see what uh let's see what they're saying about the pacemaker. So apparently uh what they're saying about the pacemaker is this is the Nancy story. Um authorities are using a Bluetooth sniffer, a tool created by a guy named Hacking Dave, which they're gonna try to catch a signal from from Nancy uh pacemaker.
SPEAKER_05:I don't know if I don't know if that's gonna work, but that's apparently what they're trying. So check this out.
SPEAKER_10:Yeah, Kate, thanks for having me on. So the way that this works is that you know Nancy has a pacemaker, and in that technology, there's what's called Bluetooth Low Energy, which admits a very non-powerful transmission that you can communicate with your mobile devices for. It's used for sending diagnostics to the hospital, uh to the manufacturer, things like that. And so what they're doing here is that they're flying really low to the ground because they the distance you have to be able to intercept that transmission, that signal, that packet, um, is very low. So the sweeping the areas looking for this transmission, and I was able to confirm that, you know, based on the pacemaker that she has, you know, it will broadcast every about three to four minutes or so with a very small transmission that if if authorities are able to capture that, can triangulate exactly where Nancy is directly off of her pacemaker.
SPEAKER_00:What's your advice if they haven't been able to locate that signal yet? What are the limitations of it? What are you what are you what have you been looking into?
SPEAKER_10:Yeah, absolutely. So I spent a lot of time with this. As soon as I saw at 228 a.m., her pacemaker was disconnected from her phone. Uh, based on my primary experience, I was a signals intelligence analyst and I have worked uh very heavily in researching these.
SPEAKER_07:I don't know about that, y'all. What do y'all think about that pacemaker? I I I think this is too late in the fucking game for that. Um, shouldn't they?
SPEAKER_05:I would have thought they would have tried something like that sooner.
SPEAKER_07:I don't know about that pacemaker. I I think they I don't know what this is what's confusing me. Everybody saying, I have no clue what the hell they doing at this point, y'all. Now we looking for a uh uh uh a pacemaker. They are trying to nah, I'm sorry, I hate to be a negative Nancy, no pun intended, but I'm not I don't know if that if that pacemaker shit gonna work, and if the pacemaker is working, and now they put that out in the news, won't the bad guys say, you know what, we gotta get rid of her now. Thank you. That's what I'm saying. Creepy said the same thing. Like, wouldn't you think they would have done that immediately? You're gonna try to look for this pace, you're gonna do this pacemaker shit weeks later, and now at this point, the bad guys, and I'm just calling them bad guys because we don't know who who or who is involved with this shit, but it's like the bad guys gonna watch this and say, Oh shit, they about to track the base pacemaker, it's time to get rid of the body. No, but I mean they might just kill her at this point. I mean, they might be like, you know, we we up shit streets. Uh Tracy said they would have to extract it from her body to make it turn off. I get that. I'm just saying at this point, the bad guys might just get rid of her. If you feel like if if somebody feels like, hey, I got a I got a body, and now they about to trace it through the through the through the pacemaker, what do you think they're gonna do? They gonna sit there and let the authorities pull up on her um via her pacemaker? That's why I say this is this should have already been done, and I don't think it should have been announced. I think they should have the minute she was missing, I believe they should have uh they should have uh looked for the pacemaker. I mean, they should have tried to locate the pacemaker if that's something they could do. If it's something that they could do, I feel like that's a good idea, but you should have done that immediately and you shouldn't have said shit about it. Uh somebody said they sent TMZ another note. Okay, so I saw that, but I didn't know. I didn't know. Uh I thought that was an old episode, uh old note.
SPEAKER_05:So that was a new note.
SPEAKER_07:People are, man, the the crazy thing is people are seriously like over. And it's sad because you know, we want to help find uh find her if she's missing or whatever going on, but people are like over it.
SPEAKER_08:All right, so let's check out this this this uh developments in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case. First of all, uh the testing of that glove, the DNA testing in Florida is complete. Now, that doesn't answer the questions uh about whose DNA is it uh and are they connected to this kidnapping? Because under federal law, uh the glove has to be tested in the state where the glove is found. Um that is the requirement that the FBI has before they can put it in the CODIS system.
SPEAKER_07:CODIS is So, whatever that glove, that that glove they say they found, now they're saying now they're saying that they found the glove, but the DNA is in question. But who's to say who's bel who those gloves belong to? Who that glove belongs to? I don't know, it's just a lot of distractions going on. FBI stood back and let the let them fumble this case makes me think they're dragging it out as a diversion tactic. Yeah, they they definitely letting them fumble this fumble the hell out of this case.
SPEAKER_05:And then TMZ keep getting rant random notes.
SPEAKER_07:We look around. Why is it that TMZ is getting all the notes and stuff? What what what is that about?
SPEAKER_05:Let's see if we can pull up this note, y'all. Uh this is this is this is just odd. This is just odd.
SPEAKER_07:So Creek sends fourth Nancy ransom note to TMZ. All right, let's check this out, y'all. This is from the New York Post. Says Creek sends fourth Nancy Guthrie ransom note to TMZ, and founder Harvey Levin makes the writer an offer. So let's check it out. A fourth, a fourth note has been sent to TMZ by somebody claiming to know what happened to Nancy and demanding confidential uh payment for their information. If the outlets founder Harvey Levin asking them to prove their claims are real by revealing what they know. If you're worried about getting this money and you really do have this information, send it to us, Harvey said in a Monday post. We will forward it to the FBI, and that way there's a record that we have that you supplied this information. If you're the individual claiming you know, and I guess this is what uh if they find her and they find the kidnapper, then at least there's evidence because we have it that you're the one who provided the information, he added. So this is a way for you to get that money if this really is legitimate. The note appeared to have been sent by the same person who has been sending TMZ notes claiming to know what happened to Nancy, but refusing to disclose because they don't want to be arrested before they can claim the hundred thousand dollar reward. This is just bizarre. They previously demanded a large Bitcoin sum, which would be difficult to trace. And they say they wanted that money before they give up info. Harvey also quoted alarming uh, what is it say? Harvey also quoted alarming information about the supposed circumstances of Nancy's disappearance, the letter sender claimed to have. So I know who he is, and that was definitely Nancy with them, Harvey said, reading from the letter. This was the latest of numerous anonymous notes TMZ has received since 84-year-old Nancy, mother of today's show host, Savannah Guthrie, has at vanished. TMZ was one of the several news outlets that received a supposed ransom note demanding millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin in a week, in the week after Nancy went missing. The deadline for that ransom came and went without payment or further communication from the sender. But days later, the outlet received a new note from somebody now claiming to know what happened to her, apparently the same individual who was still reaching out to TMZ as of Monday. They sent other letters too, which included admonishments for TMZ not taking them seriously, and threats to stop helping if payment isn't sent. No suspects had been named as this search is just dragged out to another third fucking week. Nancy was last seen after being dropped off at her Tucson home by her son-in-law and was declared missing the next day when she failed to show up to a friend's house to stream their Sunday church service. What? The coffee not working, Tracy?
SPEAKER_05:So the informant wants Bitcoin? So do y'all um do y'all think these people are are these people I know it's crazy.
SPEAKER_07:Are you are you are are the people are these tipsters or are these people that are involved?
SPEAKER_05:Like really, what the like what the heck is like I don't understand.
SPEAKER_11:Creepy Lil Bee says Bitcoin Epstein Savannah husband Clinton Epstein Timmy TMZ Levin Epstein ransom note to TMZ Yeah I don't understand Elise says the whole Bitcoin makes no sense they can get it but won't be able to cash them out of right I don't understand if she didn't and then have y'all heard about this this the the this creepy guy that was seen on other ring cameras in that neighborhood uh maybe a week or less before all of this went down before Nancy was was kidnapped did y'all see something about a creepy neighbor that everybody was saying that it that they need to look into and then not only that there's somebody down somebody who what do y'all think about that damn neighbor and a lot of people saying that's what he looked like it looks like the neighbor that's what say everything and then also I can show you this this is this is somebody they saw creeping around and to people that can't see is a video of somebody in the back of houses in the neighborhood just looking very strange and creepy somebody picked this up on one of their hidden cameras and people are saying the police need to look into whoever this strange guy that's been creeping around the neighborhood uh meddling with people's houses and just looking very suspicious and he has the same build oh you watched it somebody said if somebody just watched this yeah so like what about that just every time you look around every time you look around in this case there's this there's just too many like it's like are these like good are these evidence of of of who could be who could have been who could have done this or is this just coincidence and I saw that I'm glad you mentioned that at least somebody said a lot of times these people will have a book bag with another book bag inside of it carrying more stuff like Tracy said taking pictures for plan of entry definitely I definitely think this this guy right here let's see if I can blow oh I can blow it up a little bit let me blow this up a little bit here he is here he is again y'all so for those that are listening on audio I'm showing the chat this guy this creepy guy that's creeping around taking pictures who knows what at what I don't know what he's doing but he he's not he doesn't work for any company he has no business creeping around people's and he his head is even shaped the same he even has the same shaped head as that guy when you see with the with the mask on you can still see the shape of his head and the shape of this guy's head I'm I'm gonna fast forward hold on I'm gonna show y'all the shape of this guy's head hold on one second let me get to boom hold on boom boom y'all can't really see but hold on I'm gonna I'm gonna try to make it it's hard to see but if you look at the shape of his head you can't really see it on the video I mean on the uh stream yard but from what I'm looking at this guy looks like the same shape head as the guy with the fucking mask on I mean with the with the mask on someone's front porch around 330 ring camera footage it shows the man on January 23rd showing up at someone's front porch around 330 a.m and then returning again at 5 a.m prompting a concerned ring user to post about it on the neighbor app the home is roughly six miles south of Nancy Guthrie's home it's unclear what this man is doing but users on X are noting similar facial features on this man compared to the mass suspect and the individual scene in Nancy surveillance footage president so are we so are are are are they under are are people under the impression that this guy was just randomly going to houses I heard that creep creepy creepy little beach say I got seven acres and a 360 degree and 360 degree cameras for sure I heard that perfect side view and I and I think I think uh I think Tracy you you you hit the nail on the head I definitely think there's two at least two people directly involved together most people doing something like this definitely need a partner and um it's just it's just very creepy though dancy go three so let's look at the now who is this Jason guy that's the neighbor I believe and what they're saying about the Jason guy they are saying I don't know if y'all saw this but they saying that ring that he wore I don't know we just going over all evidence y'all so I don't know what this means we just going over all evidence but they say the ring if you see this ring little circle ring indention from the from the from the mask I mean the video where he had the mask on the ring camera and they say that matches his ring that he that they've seen him wear just look at that again you see the outline of that circular ring right there it's a little hard for you to see it but if you if you look hard enough you can see that little circular indent let me see if I can turn this light down a little bit and if you look at the ring so that's that's that's what's bringing attention to the guy Jason now they're saying that the case has not gone cold but shh it's seeming cold to me but I will also say here he is with the one of the craziest things I think I've ever seen I've been through the you know getting channel bombing I've done through the you know see the Elizabeth Star's case um but nothing quite like that but I will also say it it takes a lot of components for the sheriff's officer to be at the U of Authentic last night instead of doing his job I think it's pretty disgusting. I understand people need a break but this is not the time or the place to do that. So how long have you been living here I've been living in Tucson for about 36 years and you live around here? I live about 15 minutes okay 15 minutes over what do you think happened here and you being a Tucson resident what what did you what do you what did you got telling my daughter telling me that it's the brother of the the brother of the the son and off son and off um just too many things you know he had pictures there was a picture or two that came out and you haven't seen him since you haven't heard from him and he has the other people of you know the family and Savannah and you know her brother and sister have done things he hasn't been involved in any of it and I don't know if they trying to stay away from the limelight or what it is but I can tell you this it's very suspicious to me.
SPEAKER_07:So the so the the guy everybody looking at Jason is putting it on the son in law apparently he's he's throwing the son in law under the bus going on this is a this is one of the strangest missing person cases I have covered in in all of my three years of covering these cases this is the strangest one Tracy say Tracy say yep guilty he's not getting attention to the case that he that he wants slamming the officers and trying to manipulate reported evidence and we got we got two reports thank you to to the community for bringing in some updates um elise says the family was cleared last night D came in hot welcome D Denise says the uh the police have cleared family members okay so so that so for now we can rule out for now we can rule out the uh we can rule out the the son in law well would what the son in law I guess he would be considered family member right help me out with that would the son-in-law be he would be considered a family member correct if that's the case now we're looking at this random guy we're looking at this random guy all right cool we looking at this random guy that's snooping through people's shit or which would be really crazy we looking at this guy this did this neighbor guy okay so we eliminated them let's look at this neighbor guy this guy got this guy has a ring that ring is very man and that's not like a this is not like a this is like a unique ring too it's got a circular hard top and you can see that circular hard top right on the top of the right here I mean that's that is that is very coincidental and we always say on here on the floor show no filter ain't no such thing as coincidences but to have a circular ring on in the same hand same finger and you talking like Denise said you're talking too much they calling him the nosy neighbor and then the and then the neighbor I think even in one one thing he said he had a he had a uh his name is Jeff Lamey Jeff Lamey he said he had a premonition that the son-in-law did it it's like he he's he why is he so eager why is he so eager to put the son-in-law involved thank you so much Tracy for the$9.99 ten dollar holla thank you so much for putting some food in my stomach everybody show Tracy some love for for showing me some love he definitely wants attention yeah tracy called that outshay is the is this neighbor that's that apparently that's his name neighbor is to say if you we say it's brought you closer okay no no no I'm sorry Jeff Lamey is another neighbor sorry about that but he's been talking a lot too yeah I think this realization wrong neighbor y'all so Jeff Lamey is another neighbor I don't think people are suspecting that guy he he he's innocent from what I'm seeing yeah where is where is uh uh grandma Kathy what's up Tasha where's grandma Kathy Yeah we gotta check on grandma Kathy we definitely need to check on grandma Kathy Y'all why okay now they say FBI agents are currently investigating cameras next door the next door neighbor but they saying it took them 17 days before they looked at this camera why did it take y'all 17 days to look at some cameras man like that's why I don't understand this whole investigation cameras pacemakers all this shit should have been looked at in the first twenty four forty eight hours seriously we got footage of uh just breaking just this this happened la yesterday this now they pulling up looking at uh cameras and investigating cameras on the neighbor's house something I feel like they should have done 16 days ago however they're doing it now but shit I hope it ain't too late all right here's a tip y'all uh I this person says I put in a tip to the FBI but I'm not sure I did it correctly I found a neighbor with a son who has a lengthy criminal history it appears the son is staying with his mother the kidnapping and the assault convictions are what alarmed me I don't want to put his name out there in case he's not involved but I think this is worth looking at he is 43 years old and lives with his 77 year old mother a few doors down he has a lot more showing for his criminal history I pray they've already looked at him but this guy appears to be violent and lives close by and this guy they just put his rap sheet got a hell of a rap sheet so people are hey look people are actually sending in some tips now I don't know if that if that will help I'm not sure but yeah 15 minutes away ain't no neighbor right tracy made another good point tracy like why have these camera systems and and and all these monitor cameras if you're not gonna go immediately to the camera footage expeditiously thank you D uh Denise says the the DNA from the gloves does not match anyone in the FBI's database so another dead end because the sheriff is was dispelling speculation about the business card pictured in Nancy Guthrie's door from an agent with Arizona's adult protective services uh somebody says sheriff the sheriff is trying to convince you a neighbor called adult protective services on on a Sunday to report Nancy missing instead of just calling law enforcement he's also trying to convince you APS responded before the family even noticed she was missing not only that why aren't the neighbors not giving it to them Unless they were on a vacation and gone, they should have had them day one. Exactly. What the hell? They're doing all this shit weeks later. So what were you doing the whole time? Is my question. Like literally, what were you doing? If you weren't looking at cameras, if you weren't tracking her pacemaker, if you weren't looking at neighbors' cameras, let me be specific, and you were and you weren't traffic you weren't tracking her pacemaker, then what the hell were you doing?
SPEAKER_05:People are convinced somebody knows what happened. Let's see what we got here.
SPEAKER_07:See what else we got. So the glove doesn't match anybody in the FBI database.
SPEAKER_05:So if that's the case, then who the fuck did it ring?
SPEAKER_07:DNA from a glove that was found on the side of the road two miles from Nancy's area home did not match anyone in the national database.
SPEAKER_05:Wow. Nancy Guthrie.
SPEAKER_07:So they're gonna they're gonna they they're trying to use the they still pushing this pacemaker stuff, y'all. So you can turn so you can turn a pacemaker off. I mean, and and and and still be alive. Like I'm not familiar with pacemakers, but if the pacemaker is off, does that mean that she's dead? Somebody help me out with that. Some of my medical field people. Oh, that's a good point. Uh Elise. Elise says, ask Tracy if she is no longer with us. Wouldn't the pacemaker send out some kind of warning? That's a good point. Yeah, wouldn't the pacemaker let you let us know? I didn't even think about that.
SPEAKER_05:Good, good, good, good, good uh observation, at least.
SPEAKER_07:We'll wait for Tracy, our medical expert. We'll make we'll wait for Tracy to answer that question, our medical expert. She knows she knows the answer. I was thinking that, but I didn't say it out loud. When the doctor, so Tracy says, when the doctor connects, he can see history of pacemaker. So at some point, Tracy, will they be able to connect and find out? I guess, I guess, point blank, the best way I can put it is is there a way for the doctor to connect like right now or whatever, and and connect and find out if she's dead or alive? Can they find that out just through the pacemaker? I'm wondering. I don't have a clue. I'm not I'm not in the medical field, so I don't know. So I'm asking, I'm asking you all, anybody in the medical field, what is that possible?
SPEAKER_05:Not unless he's close enough, okay.
SPEAKER_07:Okay, so that so that so so when the pacemaker is too far away, he he's no connection.
SPEAKER_05:Wow. Okay, so they can't find out from the pacemaker.
SPEAKER_07:So they say that Nancy Nancy Guthrie using signals from her pacemaker.
SPEAKER_01:The search for Nancy Guthrie is now in his third week. Everything used has learned that authorities are now using drones capable of locating any possible signal from the 84-year-old pacemaker. And while investigators say they have no new evidence that Guthrie was targeted because of a high-profile doctor, the church says he does not think this was a random crime.
SPEAKER_09:But after following the data, we have a database and comparing it to the data found here the home. Investigators did not find the map. So what are they left with at this point? Investigators have the data found here at the property that they're still analyzing. Right now, investigators are racing to identify everything the suspect is.
SPEAKER_07:So uh Fire Glory says, Um she don't want to believe it. I think she sounds like a lot of people say, I don't want to believe it. Um, but she thinks the lady has been unalive and they are stalling, they're not rushing this case for a reason suspicious. How many of y'all in the chat think she's still alive? How many of y'all in the chat think she's still alive? Just got me stumped. And I'm pretty good. I'm gonna have to do some real digging today.
SPEAKER_05:Pop up assense in here.
SPEAKER_07:I'm stunned.
SPEAKER_05:I can't I I don't know what what what has happened.
SPEAKER_07:Tracy, we gotta figure this out. We gotta figure this out. I need Tracy. We got homework. Tracy, Elise, uh, Fire Glory, uh, Denise, Creepy Lil Beach. Yeah, if I missed anybody, Atasha, we all got homework, y'all. But we got to solve this. We got we gotta put it, we gotta, we gotta name somebody a uh a suspect. Uh by tomorrow. We got we got we we need a we need a we need some suspects named by tomorrow, y'all. We got we got we gotta we gotta figure this shit the fuck out. The big mouth neighbor. Yeah, let's let's we're gonna look into that neighbor heavy. Let's look into that neighbor heavy, y'all. I'm gonna find out every little piece of information I can about that neighbor.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, the shit 'em take notes. The nosy neighbor, the shady sheriff. What else we need to look into.
